That's a really nice car. I was real keen on it when it was in Whangarei, before rstang108 bought it. But I didn't have the green for it...

yea the back right has been welded up at some stage, unfortunate i know, because i could have just as easily painted them

but being welded up kinda means its not gonna last too long, but the mags are a last priority, clutch is first

i have to agree that for around 8g, a 6 spd manual turbo gto just cant be beat in the value-for-money-for-power stakes. oh yeah ALL the girls check them out HARD too.

had to put silencers on it today :(
welded ones too because its illegal to have bolt on ones now

feels like the car has been muzzled - 90dB isnt that loud

though strangely the car feels faster - or maybe i just give it more gas now that i know its not loud and wont attract as much attention

True, I didn't realise bolt-on silencers were illegal now.
Does that mean cutouts will be too? Will seriously wreck me sh** if they are!!!

I don't know how they work out the rules. I've never had a problem with exhaust plus the stock exhaust is all bolt together with flanges. I think some wof places just get a bit silly.

Just had a look on the land transport website. http://www.landtransport.govt.nz/vehicle-ownership/noisy-vehicle.html
From what I can make out as long as they can do the test and it passes its should be sweet, apparently we should only have to be under 95 rather than 90db too?
